Our medical staff includes the following physicians: Our neurologists are highly trained to treat disorders of the nervous system. This includes diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles. Neurologists commonly diagnose and treat the following conditions: strokes, epilepsy (seizures), headaches, dementia (including Alzheimer's disease), multiple sclerosis, narcolepsy, Parkinson's disease, sleep apnea, and various forms of pain.Neurologists may serve as consultants to other physicians as well as provide long-term care to patients with chronic neurological disorders.
Dr. Bikoff received his undergraduate degree at Cornell University. He attended medical school at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then completed his neurological residency at Emory University. Dr Bikoff has practiced in metropolitan and suburban Atlanta since 1978. He is board certified in neurology and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology. He was also a member of the teaching faculty of Georgia Baptist Medical Center for many years and served on the medical advisory board of the Georgia Chapter of the Epilepsy Foundation of America. Dr. Bikoff is a general adult neurologist with interest and expertise in a wide variety of neurological conditions including epilepsy, headache, stroke, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy and other neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Schnapper is a clinical neurologist who has been in practice since 1982. He attended Emory University both for college and medical school. After completing his neurology residency he became interested in sleep disorders. Dr. Schnapper is Board Certified in Neurology and Sleep medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology. Interests include books, baseball, and classical music. Marsha Smith, M.D. Dr. Smith attended New York University and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995. She then attended Temple University School of Medicine and graduated in 1999 with her doctor of medicine degree. Her neurology training was at Harvard Medical School after which she completed a year of fellowship training in movement disorder at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Smith has expertise in Parkinson's disease, dystonia, tremors and other movement disorders. She is also using botulinum toxin to treat neurological disorders such as dystonia, blepharospasm and spasticity. Nonneurological disorders such as hyperhidrosis, and certain cosmetic disorders are also being treated with botulinum toxin
